AutoCAD saves files by default to the following locations:
1. Your user profile folder (C:UsersAppDataRoamingAutodeskAutoCAD 2017)
2. The current drawing folder (C:UsersDocumentsAutoCAD 2017Drawings)
3. The last used folder (C:UsersDocumentsAutoCAD 2017)
4. The installation folder for AutoCAD (typically C:Program Files (x86)AutodeskAutoCAD 2017)

AutoCAD saves files in the Windows My Documents folder. It's usually located at C:UsersUSERNAMEDocuments. You can also save files to other locations by choosing a different save location in AutoCAD.

AutoCAD saves files in the user's Application DataAutodeskAutoCAD 2020 folder by default. If you have multiple versions of AutoCAD installed on your computer, it will save files in the most recent version's folder.

AutoCAD saves files in a folder that you specify. You can choose the folder when you save the file, or you can set the default save location. To set the default save location, open AutoCAD, click on the Options command, and then select Save & Send from the list on the left side of the dialog box. The location of this setting may vary depending on your operating system.
In Windows 7 and 8, look in Files > Options > Save (AutoCAD 2015) or Files > Application Preferences > Saving Files (AutoCAD 2016). In AutoCAD LT, look in File > Preferences > Saving Files. The default save location is usually something like C:UsersDocuments
