Hatch patterns are stored in a drawing's (DWG) hatch directory. When you save a drawing, AutoCAD saves the hatch patterns used in the drawing to this directory. The default location for the hatch pattern directory is C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2016Support.

You can also store your custom hatches in this directory. If you create your own hatches and want to share them with other users, you can copy them to the Hatches subdirectory of the AutoCAD Support folder. You can also place them on a network drive or an external media drive.

There is no one definitive answer to this question, as the location of hatch patterns may vary depending on the specific version of AutoCAD that you are using. However, a good starting point would be to check the default hatch pattern location within the Options dialog box. In AutoCAD 2010 and earlier versions, this can be found by selecting Rendering > Hatch Pattern Manager > Edit Hatch Patterns. From there, you should be able to browse to the location where your hatch patterns are stored.

Hatch patterns are usually stored in Autocad drawings as external references. This means that the hatch pattern is not stored in the drawing, but rather is stored in a separate file. The file that stores the hatch pattern is known as a "hatch pattern file".

There are two ways to create a hatch pattern file: (1) by saving the hatch pattern from within Autocad, or (2) by copying the contents of an existing hatch pattern file into a new text file. In either case, the text file must have a *.pat filename extension.

As far as I know, AutoCAD hatch patterns are not stored in a specific location. They are created and saved with a drawing file. So if you have a hatch pattern that you like, you should save the drawing file with the hatch pattern included.

Hatch patterns are stored in AutoCAD drawing files. The location of the hatch patterns may vary, depending on the version of AutoCAD and the type of file you are using.

To find the location of hatch patterns in an AutoCAD drawing file:
    1. Open the file with a text editor such as Notepad or Microsoft Word.
    2. Scroll down to the bottom of the file.
    3. The hatch pattern files will be listed near the bottom of the file, preceded by an asterisk (*).

Hatch patterns are stored in the ACAD.pat file. This file is located in the Windowssystem32 folder.
