In perspective of what a interior designer wears, it should be clean and neat with attention to the surroundings. The clothes will often times have textures that represent what they are designing. Designers can dress in bright and colorful or plain and neutral clothing. Designer jeans (blue, black, white) because I like the way they fit my body type well; these would usually dictate which crops I opt for (white) to pair with either a crisp white shirt or oxblood heels; black double breasted blazer or red long sleeve button-down shirt or yellow three piece suit (this is not your every day life). Red lipstick suits me best for this style.

Answer: Designers can wear box-fresh outfits, but ultimately it's about how the clothes are styled.

Style is always the most important thing. I personally often take styling ideas from what I see in runway shows or high end ads because these are typically made with expensive fabrics that are hard to continually afford on your own. What does an interior designer wear? Versatility is key, therefore using accessorizing tricks like necklaces to keep different looks alive throughout the day. The general rule of thumb is editing! Unless you're a pro model, its best to edit down and use outfits/accessories wisely rather than sprawling around every outfit in one day "just because."

Whether an interior designer clients with a design company or is in solo practice, she should dress for her profession. Uniform attire often gives a sense of professionalism. However, there are ways to dress professionally without the uniform.. For example, jewelry and ties can be personalized or brightened up with bright colors that pop. Clothing fabric can be another way to add color without having everything look the same because different fabric has different finishes - which creates variety in professional clothes. Men can wear knit suits and formal shirts with trousers to convey a more "funky" front-desk scenario versus always wearing khaki and button-down shirts.

An interior designer must be practical, stylish, and knowledgeable. This is why it's best to wear clothing that is presentable but comfortable; easy to move in and made of natural fibers that can breathe better. They should be fashionable enough that they will not look too dated after a few seasons of being worn. Additionally, comfort with your personal style comes from understanding how colors work together harmoniously as well as the basics on color theory. In this instance where there is no clear trend or statement about what an interior designer should typically wear it's important to blend two approaches- function and style- for a truly versatile wardrobe at all times of day.

For an office, comfortable pants or jeans or sweatpants, cute flats or pumps. For a trade show booth always dress the part -- wearing an outfit that is both age appropriate and comfortable to present in could make you look like you don't care. For women's wear, it's important to wear shoes that are stylish enough for your audience - but also comfortable enough to stand in for hours on end if necessary. The last thing any interior designer needs is blisters on their feet!! Clear heels are the best option! Boots are acceptable too when paired with slacks/skirts/long dresses/etc.. But stay away from high platforms- they can cause back problems over time.

A fresh coat of paint or garden design can be done quickly and without too much notice. However when tackling wallpaper or carpeting - two detailed projects that affect the comfort level in every room throughout the house - it is important to carefully plan how you want your own personal style to show through. Take time to carefully select appropriate attire so that your design reflects true professionalism while still remaining true to yourself.
