Sea Can Home Designs LLC is an innovative design firm focusing on coastal, southern and island living. Tropical interiors are our sweet spot. We create both modern and vernacular spaces with the goal of enhancing your lifestyle with beauty, comfort, low-maintenance yet high style - all within a budget that works for you. We are often asked to combine the best features of North America, Europe or Asia into one space - I think this is what makes it so challenging but also so rewarding when we're able to accomplish this successfully. Being in the tropical interior design business in Miami means being in tune with what will work in almost any climate or environment under extreme conditions.

Sea Can Home Designs is a fabrication company that specializes in the design, development and production of shrink-wrapped units for residential building. Sea can Home designs offers home builders and contractors an affordable, efficient alternative to constructing homes offsite, in a factory. By fabricating modules in their own workshops and bringing them to the jobsite when they're done, we save on costly transportation charges and also cut down on environmental pollution associated with over-the-road delivery. For our customers this means buildings whose energy efficiency has been enhanced by much better weatherizing than if built at the jobsite--and pricing that's much better than you'll find anywhere else too.

Sea Can Home Designs is a company that specializes in high-performance and low-energy houses. The owner explains the benefits of his design over conventional "stick built" construction as follows:. Sea Can homes are designed to take maximum advantage of energy efficient technologies such as Section 201, Passive House (passive house Canada), Superinsulated Construction (SIC) and Plus Energy Performance (LEED Platinum). I'm not opposed to all building methods, but I do feel people should know what they're getting into. Stickbuilt homes cost more because skilled workers must wait for electrical and plumbing work that's done by other trades before/after framing or drywall. This doesn't happen with my modular type system.

Sea Can Home Designs is a company that built an unusual home out of a used North Vancouver freight cannery. The original building housed a steel fabricator, and the new company wanted to show their expertise in turning what seemed like trash into treasure. The result was this three-bedroom house made from 43 shipping containers. Constructed on the edge of Howe Sound about 12 kilometres north of Lions Bay, it has taken five years to complete all phases of construction including the wood-framed exterior. All together they include six bedrooms and four bathrooms, with two kitchens and two living areas so functions can be divided or combined as required for partying or family living arrangements.
