The primary usage of sketchup has been in architecture and cars but now there are many online 3D printing marketplaces where you can buy any one of these digital designs (.stl) or upload your own design files (.skp) and find one of many affordable 3rdd party access points (3dpns) capable of producing objects with dimensionally accurate stereolithography (SLA), fused deposition modeling (FDM), stereolithography data output (STL), etc.
