When you try to install an extension and Sketchup says it was unable to install, it's usually because the extension is corrupt or not compatible with your current version of Sketchup. To fix this, close Sketchup and then delete the folder in which the extension is saved. Restart Sketchup and try installing the extension again. If you're still having problems, contact the developer of the extension for help.

First, try restarting your computer. Then open Sketchup and go to Window > Preferences > Extension Warehouse. Make sure that the extension you're trying to install is enabled in the "Installed" tab. If it's not, click on the checkbox to enable it.
If you're still having problems installing the extension, try deleting the Sketchup preferences file. On a Mac, this file is located at ~/Library/Preferences/SketchUp XX.plist (where XX is the version of Sketchup you're using). On a Windows PC, it's located at C:UsersAppDataRoamingSketchUpSketchUp XX.ini (where XX is the version of Sketchup you're using).
