Sketchup was unable to initialize opengl. It is very likely that this problem can be reproduced in under 5 minutes with both active sketchup and your graphics card driver installed. Close the SketchUp window, reopen it, and look for any OpenGL errors when you do so. If there are no errors when beginning the process again, then it means .NET Framework is installed correctly on your machine; if there are errors this time, then API calls relating to API System/Graphics/Display were not successfully registered at startup (because something went wrong).

Do you have a more recent version of OpenGL for Mac on your SketchUp on your Mac? There have been reports on these forums that applications which use OpenGL on the Mac may not work correctly if the user does not have an up-to-date (10.6) driver installed. Check with Apple to see if they're giving you priority support for this system configuration."

If that doesn't work, then Google Sketchup might be having difficulty initializing its openGL subsystem. This probably means that there is some problem with one of the files required by sketchup and without getting help from a programmer expert in OpenGl it's unlikely you'll be able to fix it any time soon."

If you have a graphics card that is newer than 4 years old, it may be outdated to SketchUp's system requirements. Sketchup 2013 requires OpenGL 2.1 or later, and a graphics card with DirectCompute 3.0 capabilities for GPU-enabled rendering. Here are some handy hints to help your computer meet those benchmarks:. HP - HP desktops come standard with an NVIDIA GeForce 710 video card which does not support the required opengl levels as well as other cards such as ATI RADEON HD 3650/3850 (both of which require drivers). However, Dell desktops come standard with Intel Integrated Graphics, which can't handle the requirements either; we recommend upgrading your graphics card if available.

Sketchup was unable to initialize opengl. You should change your graphics card while you are sketching the design. A new graphics card will make everything feel faster and will be compatible with SketchUp's new features. You can also try downloading some of the trial versions on different products to see if they might work for you, this way you don't have to purchase a whole thing before seeing if it works for you. Sometimes even lowering the settings on your current graphics card could help speed up things quickly, or switching between OpenGL and Direct3D modes can help!

Sketchup was unable to initialize opengl. The good news is that this error can typically be addressed by installing the latest graphics drivers and restarting your machine. You may also make sure that you meet the minimum requirements of OpenGL ES 3.0 (Android 4.1 and above) or OpenGL 2.0 (iPhone 5 and above). It's important to note however, if you're utilizing an older computer, this is likely not a problem for you as it doesn't support those new updates at all - so don't worry about it!
