If you're interested in learning how to use SketchUp, then this article should be helpful. SketchUp is a 3D design program you could consider like CAD (Computer Aided Design). However, unlike CAD software which is usually very complicated for use by the common person, SketchUp has an intuitive interface that even non-technical people can pick up quickly. The first thing to do when using Sketchup is open the application and start it up. As illustrated below, navigating through features of the interface without any trouble can be done by dropping right down on top of things where there are edges or simply searching for them with your cursor until they show up on screen.

The sketchup website provides a series of instructional videos. When you open the Windows version SketchUp, these tutorials appear in video form and provide instruction for individual topics such as menu operation, creating shapes, extruding solids and drawing along their centers lines etc. They offer solutions to problems you might want to tackle but don't know how just yet. You also have the option of watching tutorials which address specific issues such as modeling with shapes or using boolean operations on solids and meshes . On Mac OSX version SketchUp provides an initial set of "pre-tutorials" which introduce you to its menu system and other capabilities.

Sketchup makes the first part effortless. We'll choose a UCS (user coordinate system) for our 3D world to follow, and then we'll sketch out the shapes for our house. SketchUp starts by drawing lines on your screen, so if you want an L-shaped roof, just draw two lines crisscrossing each other. Later you can adjust these lines with your mouse before adding your third perpendicular line to form right angles-more space than columns completed because straight beams may interfere with interior spaces - think about this carefully! Now let's give windows and doors their place in the walls--these make perfect rectangles at a corner of a room or along any wall where they're needed.

Sketchup can be a great tool for architects, plumbers, roofers, engineers and other professionals who need to visualize their designs before actually breaking ground or start construction. However it is also popular with kids who want to have some fun creating buildings and arenas from the comfort of their own homes. One of the benefits of using Sketchup is that it opens up a whole new world as far as what you can create. The best part about using Sketchup is that the program enables you to share your models right on Facebook or YouTube without having to print or bring them into a meeting - which saves time and money.

Sketchup is a home design software that makes sketching out architectural plans easy. It allows for the manipulation of virtual objects, like furniture and appliances, to ensure that you don't end up with an unwanted surprise when your new furnishings clash horribly with your existing decor. Drawings can easily be shared with other using SketchUP's iOS app, so collaborations are made simple. The Pro or Educator versions unlocks more drawing tools and templates as well as layeredDrawDraw Anywhere - allowing designers to draw anywhere on the screen.. without the need for any pre-sketched lines!
