You can register for a course offered by a local college or university, or other design-related classes through workshops and online programs. For example, you can enroll in the Interior Design Online Course offered by MICA College of Design. The course is designed to provide an architectural introduction with a focus on the influence of built form on human behavior. You'll explore housing trends from different regions around the world, observe examples from many cultures and evaluate how changing technology influences how we live. In addition to these online courses related to interior design, you can also learn about what it takes to become an interior designer through hands-on work at a community center or nursing home volunteer time leading up to your career as an interior designer.

It's getting a little late to start a college degree unless you're going to study interior design. If this is something you want to go into, then head into the field as soon as possible after high school. Unless there are unusual circumstances, internships or work experience is rarely an option for those under 18 years of age. And most scholarship programs require at least some college credits before they will consider awarding funding for your education towards a degree in Interior Design. Consider starting early with any skills or information you can learn now so that by the time 12th grade rolls around, a few credit hours may already be in your bag!

How to do interior design courses after 12th?: A lot of schools offer this as electives, but if you want to complete an entire certification program there are various ways you can go about it.
