The Interior Design Training Institute is one alternative. However, before you devote three to five years at a university studying interior design, I recommend that you try a short course and see whether this profession is for you before moving on to university in Nigeria. The free course from the Home Design Institute in Paris, which you may join here, is another option.

If you're looking to study Interior Design in Nigeria, there are a couple of choices. The first is premier private schools such as the Lagos-based United World College-Fujairah Campus and the University of Adebayo Ganda Ede. These schools offer a degree in interior design that will provide training from industry professionals, and they also offer scholarships for tuition depending on your background/experience.
Another choice would be UNILAG's undergrad programs in architecture. Here, students can opt for courses that cover topics related to interior design - such as housing designs and basic interior architecture - providing their degree with plenty of options post-graduation if they decide not to pursue masters or PhD studies right away.

If you're looking for colleges and universities that offer an undergraduate Interior Design program, UST has a 4 year BFA Personalized Human Development and Design track.
Programs that are offered as 3-5 years programs include University of Ibadan Ankara South Africa, The Nairobi School of Fine Art, Makerere University and the Faculty of Creative Arts in Ghana’s Kwame Nkrumah University. Jamia is also involved in teaching interior design. They have been teaching it since some time ago. However they discontinued it in 1995 due to lack of interest from the student population but in 2016 they decided to revive it by creating convenient bus stops around the university for students who cannot walk up.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU) provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Interior Design. In fact, NAU is the only university currently running a five-year course on Landscape Architecture in Nigeria. Our students are admitted into either the Architectural Studies programme or to Interior Design courses that are four years long. After their first year, students can opt for either of these courses as per their interest and aptitude.
The University has an innovative curriculum which helps build deep understanding of how design concepts interact with one another at any given point in time through the use of cultural communication systems such as symbols, signs, gestures and verbal languages within a flexible environment which strengthens free expression while developing competency.
