    There are many universities offering Interior Design. Here are some that have well-respected programs:

    Columbia University, New York City
    Montclair State University, Montclair NJ
    San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco CA
    University of Pennsylvania School of Design, Philadelphia PA. Notre Dame of Maryland University also offers an undergraduate and graduate interior design program in Women's Studies with a concentration in interior design.

    The best, and most prestigious interior design degrees in the world come from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (HKDA)
    and Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Saint-Etienne. If you are looking to design interiors for private residences, you can study at Parsons School of Constructed Environments (NY). Within America, RISD in Rhode Island is a great choice for those that are looking to go into residential home designs or more commercial work. Other popular choices include KCAI Kansas City Art Institute, and ACAD Montreal if you want a more old school experience.

    Most interior designers study practical arts, however there are specializations in in the sciences as well. They usually graduate with a bachelor's degree with courses in occupational therapy, sociology, speech-language pathology and sociology.
    A few Universities with relevant Bachelor Programs include:
