Yes, because Interior design is a dynamic, creative field that offers innovative careers in a continuously changing industry. The growth potential for interior designers is an attractive reason to study the subject, and since many organizations are downsizing, it means there's more opportunity to move up. The need for new designs always exists so good designers will never be out of work. Additionally, individuals who graduate from top schools with strong portfolios can find themselves with lucrative contracts to design products or even whole spaces like restaurants or stores. More than 3/4 of all interior design professionals work in commercial settings including hotel and casino hotels and educational institutions. So it can open doors into other kinds of fields.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a more influential and progressive industry than interior design. Your apartment, restaurant, business office space, and residential home are the places you spend your time, money, resources on on a daily basis. That's why people look to interior designers for everything from figuring out how to set up their atmosphere of work or play space optimally to designing their dream kitchen. The other side of that coin is that architects provide many services including building feasibility studies or market analyses of existing buildings' viability before renovations by an interior designer.

For those who wish to study design without having to attend architecture school, interior design is a good option.
The course offers a comprehensive overview of the built environment and also ensures its graduates have the skills needed to address ethics, sustainability, new media and automation within their work. This degree track is for students with an interest in art or aesthetics that do not intend on pursuing architecture as a field of study.
