There are many universities in the United States that offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. McGill University offers such a degree online.
For other options, you can explore this Directory of Schools to Research Interior Design Degrees that has listings for both 2 and 4-year programs, as well as listings for graduate level degrees. Just be sure to contact schools directly about housing because you'll need on or off-campus housing if your school is not located near enough to an urban area where you might find rental properties.
Your best bet would be visiting the website for the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, which will have information available by membership.

A lot of schools in the United States are going to offer classes that teach you about design and architecture. For interior design, it's helpful if the school has a well-established technique of study or methodology.

If you are interested in design and not just decoration, I would recommend checking out Syracuse University or IDC (The Institute for Design and Construction) for their new Interior Architecture Program.

At Ivy League universities in the United States, Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business uses space planning software and interior design degrees to prepare students. Graduates must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher, including all business courses completed at Georgetown University and that students must demonstrate an "enthusiastic response to architecture" through papers or participation in historic preservation projects, exhibitions, seminars or conferences that showcase personal interest in theater and design history.
