There are several internationally renown universities in Sweden that one can study interior design. One of the best is KTH's School of Architecture. It has been ranked by QS in 2018 as one of the best schools for Architecture & Built Environment and also listed as the number 1 school on the list of top 10 architectural schools in Europe.
In addition to architecture, students can take interior design courses or even full degrees at university with other majors such as Psychology, Economics or Law etc.
Most international students would be eligible for a free higher education - no degree specific tuition fee applies if they meet certain criteria. Sweden is considered one of the top 3 countries with great value for money regarding international studying destinations (according to The Economist Intelligence Unit).

The Interior Design programme at the School of Art, Crafts and Design in Gothenburg is one of Sweden’s few university level education programmes in interior design. There are no other Swedish universities with an identical degree programme in this field. The international design industry has become increasingly globalized and competitive, both domestically and internationally. In order to be considered for employment as an Interior Designer, it is absolutely necessary to have completed a BA Honours degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design. Otherwise employers will entirely disregard any qualifications that you might have otherwise attained.
