In one word, to provide a better way of understanding "interior decoration," it is the process of changing the look and feel of an interior using furniture, wall colors, fabrics and so on. Interior decorating is important because people spend more time in spaces such as bedrooms or living rooms than they do in bathrooms, kitchens or staircases which are usually designed for utilitarian purposes. Interior Designers may work with clients to make sure that their home's layout suits their needs and desires. The job impacts reflection on who we are and our values as well as how others perceive us within society by what we choose to show those around us.

The term "interior decoration" is a little bit different for each person and can be interpreted in many ways.
For instance, one person may say that their sense of aesthetic satisfaction came from the color palette they chose or the paintings they hang on their walls. Another might categorize it as simply adding nice furniture to a home, while another would count it as putting candles or flowers around house to make it more aesthetically pleasing and smell nice.

Interior decorating allows people to express the challenges that they have not yet conquered, and in doing so, it becomes an important creative outlet. People admire and awe at what others have created and express themselves through their homes, creating a space of authenticity for both the soul and surrounding guests.
