If you have an interest in designing interiors such as kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and the like, then Interiors Design may be a better choice. This is because architects mainly design exteriors such as homes and buildings.
An architect studies how to construct buildings efficiently while minimizing waste of resources and time using innovative new designs specific for location needs. They not only study the architecture but also learn mathematics, history and supervisory skills all while developing communication abilities required for good client service. Interior designers are primarily concerned with the aesthetics of home or building's inside spaces such as kitchens, baths, living rooms to name some- even when their design has an impact on its efficiency or environmental friendliness (green design).

I would study interior design. Architecture requires clients to be in-person and interior designers work remotely.
I don't know if you're aware of this, but interior design is a thing. It was this thing back before architecture was even out there and it just stuck around like the Teletubbies or skinny jeans (let's face it, those things are still around too). Anyway, architecture these days leans more towards fancy schmancy remodels with many, many layers of red tape for safety purposes and such when they could just make a call to the guy across town who understands homeowners' needs better than anybody else because he loves them (and yeah we're talking about me here).

As an architect, you would be primarily focused on the technical aspects of building design and helping to decide how structures are built. On the other hand, being an interior designer is based more on design theory and aesthetics.
As someone who enjoys imagining spaces that have beauty and meaning for their inhabitants, you might find designing interiors to be a fulfilling career choice. Interior designers create functional public environments that people can enjoy living in or working in, with consideration for form and function supporting human needs-and this includes everything from color palettes and decorating style all the way down to determining whether desks should be provided with chair backs or arm rests.

When it comes to degree programs, there are two types of architecture you can study and they are architecture with a concentration in interior design (I.D.) or architectural studies with an emphasis on furniture design, product design, or industrial design. The good news is that if you're unsure about the type of career path you want to take after graduation then both I.D. and Architecture will provide the skills needed in the workplace today since they involve creativity and communication. Interior Designers create spaces that not only feel amazing but help boost clientele's moods by looking at how we interact within space itself! Plus who doesn't love a giant pile of colorful cushions?

There are many different ways to approach an answer to this question, but my personal opinion is that you probably want to study interior design if your preference is a creative and tactile field. Architecture may be better for those looking for a more intellectually challenging option.

Generally speaking, architecture students spend the majority of their time in the studio while interior designers spend much more time out of the studios (either shopping or planning within a context). This would mean that it will take less time for as architecture student graduate with an MFA than an interior design graduate with an MFA. For someone who wants the foundational skills set before they start giving too much thought (or money) towards what really interests them most often career-wise, I would recommend architecture.

Architecture is the design and study of the built environment. It has existed since humans first started constructing their own buildings. One of its main functions is to provide shelter from danger, and its form often reveals much about human life.
Interior Designers are all about creating a way for users to experience space, and work with them to transform these spaces into something that people can enjoy living in and enjoying everyday. It's their job focused on enhancing people's well- being through beautifully designed residential or commercial environments. This means making it an inclusive, safe place where they want to come back. And this could be anywhere - someone's home, offices or schools - anything at all where people spend time in one place.
