To be a room designer, you have to know how to use both furnishings and architecture influence the person who is looking at your design .
Room designers are artistic and creative people. They usually have studied art history or other liberal arts subjects in college.
Many of them are experts in marketing. Their work is theatrical because it appeals to emotions-a room has an effect on our moods that's similar to a good or mediocre movie. A good designs should make us feel satisfied without making us think about money spent. It will give the customer what he wants but not just what he needs, ensuring that it will last long term which will allow for repeat business .

Here are some tips to help along the way
1.Think about what you most want from a room, and - crucially - about how might be in it without compromising on yourself
2.Talk to friends or family members who might have a home of their own that you can see firsthand. And for advice, talk to anyone with expertise in design as well as people who know a lot about the places you visit with class mates, colleagues or partners. This information will often provide a great opportunity for inspiration - whether it's coming up with ideas for decorating your current place, or inspiring thoughts of what kind of house would best suit your lifestyle and future plans!

A room designer is someone who designs different rooms in buildings. The word "room" can refer to all types of spaces, from bedrooms and bathrooms to living rooms and kitchens. A room designer might have experience with the type of space they are designing for or not, as well as varying degrees of design fluency in a particular style or field (e.g., modernism)
The architect is responsible for understanding the plan then drawing up what will be built based on these drawings and specifications.

It's a clear decision to become a room designer. Most designers would love if you could just hand them the raw materials for the designer to do their job.
However, being a good room designer means that they still need help on what color should be used or even on which kind of flooring is best, so here are some tips.
    1) Research online for inspiration and refer back to this list when fabric shopping -
    2) Watch HGTV and Houzz religiously
    3) Spend more time browsing your local Home Depot than chatting with friends at Starbucks 3) Fix up your living space before deciding which kind of design style you want to practice.

The best place to start is with a degree in environmental design. You will want this second level of understanding to understand how architecture and interior design work together. However, without knowing something about the details involved in both types of design, there's no way you could be confident that you're making the right decision on behalf of your client. Which can lead to some disastrous results! It's been said there is an inverse relationship between skill and arrogance- so the more confident we get, the less skilled we are.
