A mixture of both! I read a lot of books on design, as well as interior magazines (such as Better Homes and Gardens, HGTV magazine, etc). I also looked at a lot of websites and blogs - some focused on interiors specifically, while others were more general design sites. A few that come to mind are Design*Sponge, and Apartment Therapy.

Before we jump into resources, let's cover some basics. Designers are trained professionals who study space planning, color schemes, furniture selection, and just about everything else that goes into creating a functional and visually appealing room or home. Anyone can become an interior designer by studying the craft and taking the necessary exams, but only a small percentage of people have the natural ability to learned design principles effortlessly - which is why most of us need all the help we can get!

So where do you start if you want to learn more about interior design? Here are a few resources that I would recommend:

    1) Interior Design Illustrated by Francis D. K. Ching - This is one of the most popular textbooks

There are a few different ways to learn interior design, and the best way really depends on your learning style. If you prefer more traditional methods, then books and websites can be great resources. For those who like to learn by doing, taking an interior design course or two can be a good option. Or, if you want to find out everything there is to know about a particular subject, you can always try an online search.

Thank you for the question! There are a few different ways to learn interior design, depending on what level you want to pursue it.

If you are interested in learning about interior design for personal development or as a hobby, there are plenty of introductory books and websites available. A quick search on Amazon or Google will provide you with many results. I would suggest starting with general interest books like Design 101 by Hara Estroff Marano or The Interior Design Reference & Specification Book to get an overview of the topics involved in interior design. From there, you can begin narrowing your focus to specific areas that interest you most.
