Some people might choose to study interior architecture because they want to specialize in designing and building the inside of buildings. They will focus on engineering and architectural types of subjects, like light as it affects ambiance, sound or acoustics, space planning (the allocation of spaces in a building), form making for structures that are not poured concrete but are primarily steel or glass. Some focus on characterizing the built environment with man-made materials like cast stone, which imitates natural stone. These architects work closely with other professionals such as landscape architects and urban planners.

Studying interior architecture is an excellent way of gaining a deep understanding of how color, proportions, furniture and furnishings can be used to increase the visual impact on a space.
Interior Architecture impacts people in two ways: through design and through construction. A designer sets up the space before constructing it; which factors contribute to who the final customer will be. Construction takes care of everything that comes after--insulation, painting, carpentry or plumbing. Luckily though, Interior Architects are there to guide all parties involved with their expertise so as to ensure success for everyone involved!

Some professions that typically associate with the study of interior architecture are in-house designers, architects, engineers, and those who work in planning or property development. Architects typically have degrees in related areas such as civil engineering for those who plan to design buildings on streets outside surrounded by sidewalks and pedestrian walkways. Others might have degrees in business management if they want to take over a family owned company.

Interior Architecture is the designing of an area indoors, typically in a commercial environment. In most cases though, interior dArchitects are not called architects since they have had training or schooling on architecture and design principles that differ from drafting and construction.
In order to understand the needs of their client space, architects map out spatial relationships with drawings, charts, models, renderings, videos and other various graphic arts. Then working collaboratively with cross-functional teams - often including engineers (to consider structural issues), contractors (to ensure building codes are met) and lighting specialists - they create plans for office furniture layout as well as choices in urethane flooring texture.
