I have always been fascinated with colors, textures and patterns since I was little. My grandma taught me how to sew when I was 8 years old, and sewing curtains for my room really set my path in life. The detail involved in sewing a simple pillow cover provided such an amazing sense of accomplishment that even at the young age of 8, I knew building a career around making spaces feel beautiful would be my calling. Inspired by modern day designers like Scott Morrison and Kelly Wearstler while growing up, interior designing seems like the perfect mix of creativity and practicality

I think designing spaces with the goal of creating daily happiness and providing a space that speaks to your client's needs is an incredible opportunity. I love being able to work closely with my clients to find their own sense of style and create spaces that they can genuinely call their own, yet fits them comfortably. When you are going through this process there are so many debates about personal taste vs lifestyle, function vs fashion, it becomes such an engaging task. It has expanded my understanding and appreciation for how different people live differently-what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.

I have been interested in space and design as a way of expressing intention, personality, and mood since childhood. I was an interior decorator for fashion galleries starting out and developed my expertise by working with architects on site to manage the flow through buildings, retail spaces to boutique hotels.

I started out my career as an interior designer because I wanted to customize the spaces around me. It's been a little while now, and I've learned quite a lot since those early days. Now when I design rooms, the customizing has become more and more ingrained in every step of the way. From thinking about what might be nice for a space to begin with, sharing how-to projects on my blog, posting instagram pictures that are totally not professionals it's all part of one big project and process that starts by finding out what people actually like around them- their favorite colors or hobbies.
