There are a few different ways that people usually become interested in interior design. For me, it started with a love of art and creativity. I’ve always been drawn to visually pleasing things, and after taking some art classes in high school, I realized that interior design was a potential career path that could allow me to express my creativity every day.
I then started doing some research on the subject and learned about all the different facets of being an interior designer. From picking out furniture and fabrics to managing clients and contractors, I realized there was a lot more to it than just being able to put together a pretty room.

There are a few things that likely contributed to my interest in becoming an interior designer. First, I have always been fascinated by beautiful homes and stylish interiors. I would spend hours flipping through magazines and scrolling through Pinterest, drooling over all the pretty pictures. Second, I have a natural eye for design and trends; I'm always drawn to certain color schemes, furniture styles, and layouts. Finally, I'm a huge DIYer (or at least I like to think so!) and love sourcing materials, picking out paint colors, and putting everything together to create gorgeous spaces - both indoors and out.

I first became interested in interior design when I was a child. My parents would often take me to open houses and I would marvel at the different ways that people decorated their homes. I always had a knack for thinking of new and innovative designs, and so my interest in interior design only grew as I got older. After completing my undergraduate degree, I decided to pursue a career in interior design and have never looked back!

There is no one answer to this question, as everyone's path to becoming an interior designer will be different. For some people, it may be a lifelong passion for design that eventually leads them to pursue a career in the field. Others may have a background in another area of design (such as architecture or fashion) and find that interior design is a natural next step. And still others may simply discover they have a knack for putting spaces together and decide to pursue a career in interior design.
No matter what your story is, if you're interested in becoming an interior designer, the best way to get started is by completing a degree or certification program in the field.

There isn't one specific event or person that spawned my interested in interior design. I've always been creative and have always loved rearranging furniture and decorations in my own home. I love playing around with colors, textures, and patterns to create unique and inviting spaces. After taking a few classes in high school and college, I realized that this was something I'm actually good at and could maybe pursue as a career. So, here I am today! Getting paid to do something I love--what could be better than that?

I figured that I would quite enjoy being an interior designer when I was still in high school. At the time, a couple of my friends were really into design and they would always be making little changes to our shared living space. That’s when it started to become apparent to me that both the process and the results of good design could be quite satisfying.
From then on, I made a point of studying design in college and learning as much as I could about the field. Once I had skin in the game, so to speak, it became even more interesting to see how various design principles could be applied in practice.
