An interior design architect is a professional whose work revolves around the space in which we live, visit, and work.

An interior design architect combines art with technology to renovate spaces for new creative ideas and business plans. The profession involves an intense dialogue between the customer and the designer about what types of furnishings need to be replenished or restored. There are many technical considerations that must be accounted for in order to transform the living or working environment into a personal haven of peace.

An interior design architect is an individual who has the education, background, and training necessary to create functional spaces that are aesthetically pleasing. According to The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), "The term 'interior designer' refers to a professional who designs the look of building interiors in consultation with its owner."

These professionals do not have the same degree or licensing as an Architect. They may or may not have architectural training. They should also be able to work with contract drafters for document specifications and production set-ups once a design idea has been established.

An interior designer is generally concerned with the design and placement of furniture, materials, colors and textures within a space. Interior designers are often employed by housing authorities to develop schemes for redevelopment projects. An architect is professionally trained in architecture, building structures to size; composing exterior spaces so that they comply with codes; programming needs-shops or restaurants on the first level, residences or offices on the second level, etc.; coordinating rental agreements; overseeing site inspections. Architects must have obtained a professional degree in order to practice. In some cases an undergraduate degree will suffice but these degrees are not eligible to become registered architects because they do not provide sufficient education for licensure and registration which requires five years of experience after graduation.

Interior design architects are experts in designing and arranging interior spaces in residential or commercial buildings. They develop floor plans, sketches, renderings, cost estimates and survive models. Interior design architects create functional spaces within a building that fit the needs of the inhabitants with consideration for future renovations or demolitions. The architect also considers lighting and color schemes, acoustics for entertainment areas such as media rooms and kitchens; security features like windows accessible from both inside and outside the building; leisure luxuries such as heated pools; eco-friendly items like low-flow fixtures.

An interior designer is a type of architect whose focus is on the design and decoration of interiors-the complete space enclosed by walls, as well as the furnishings in these rooms. Designers seek to make their designs functionally and aesthetically pleasing while optimizing function and efficiency.

    Overview
An interior designer will help you to choose colours for your walls and furniture together with types of fabrics for curtains or drapes - two very important elements for giving a room its identity. A good sense of color can help you create formal, semi-formal or informal spaces which are reflective over current styles or trends in decorating layout.
