Yes, absolutely. If you're looking for recommended classes, The Ask an Interior Designer blog has a weekly series of lessons on various topics. You can also purchase online courses from General Assembly and find online classes at Udemy and Skillshare.
When trying to learn practical skills like interior design on your own, it's important to get a feel for the underlying principles in order to learn how to apply those principles. Once you have some experience with design through reading or working with a designer when shopping for furniture or picking colors off the website of paint company, then kudos if you are ready to take on the task of designing your first room (or first few rooms) yourself.

There are many websites that provide simple input for size of space, preferences, etc., so after a little practice you should be able to do your own home! Though beware of scammers out there - always make sure you review the fine print before committing to any contract. And remember that these tools are just guidelines and they won't create an interior design masterpiece for you without some effort on your part as well!

Yes, you can. Interior designers are in high demand and enjoy competitive wages. There is a collection of websites out there that offer superior online courses for learning this trade.
If you're interested in the field of interior design, I would recommend studying at a vocational school or trade school rather than an actual college or university unless you want to eventually become a professor at a college or university teaching it as part of their degree program. You could always take online classes on your own time, which will make the transition from full-time student to professional designer much easier after graduation because unlike students, professionals with bachelor's degrees have to be highly skilled and experienced if they want to earn good money in this industry.

When it comes to learning about interior design, the routes are many. But most importantly, this is a field that you need some hands-on experience in order to fully appreciate the intricacies of color schemes and styles that make up a particular style. Ultimately, there is no substitute for visiting different homes or offices and interviewing your client in order to paint as full a picture of their needs as possible. However we can still give you some tips so you can better attack the issue on your own!
