Interior design schools in Abuja are often found within art colleges and universities. You can choose to attend a 4-year degree program at the so-called international university of Nigeria, which is part of Unity University or one of Nigeria's American Universities (Lagos State University). Alternatively, you could enroll as a Vocational school graduate and apply for skills assessment or try getting training from well qualified vocational training providers in Abuja such as CAPMINTEE. The first year, you study textiles and color theory. The second year covers basic principles of architecture and construction, as well as designing for both commercial interior spaces and residential living environments. The third year is spent learning about styling decoration trends relating to the industry's hottest new projects, taking sample mock-up designs to completion on 2D or 3rd dimensional platforms like screens or models, commercial tutorials, concepts for retail or furniture store display windows and window dressing solutions for shopfronts with unique displays that attract customers attention.

People in Abuja wishing to become interior designers will have the most success by enrolling in a vocational school that gives courses and instruction on this field.
An interior design course is good for those new to the profession who are looking for an education that will give them more knowledge of this career. For those who already possess some experience with home décor, these skills can be increased or refined by taking classes taught at vocational schools where there's abundant hands-on training. This is great for people interested in becoming high-level designers and developers or if you need specialized knowledge and expertise .
