A recap on materials is provided, along with an introduction to countertops, where different types of countertop materials and their respective pros and cons are discussed, alongside innovative storage solutions. The course progresses to incorporating countertops and smart storage features into the SketchUp kitchen model, allowing students to integrate practical elements seamlessly into their designs. The role of lighting in kitchen design, emphasizing the importance of planning effective lighting schemes encompassing task, ambient, and accent lighting for kitchens. Participants learn to add lighting to the SketchUp model to enhance functionality and set the mood. A recap on lighting is provided, with a focus on accessorizing, where students delve into the selection of accessories, fixtures, and decor to complete the kitchen design. The course culminates in incorporating accessories into the SketchUp model, finalizing the overall design and allowing participants to appreciate the transformative impact of lighting and accessories on the ambiance and functionality of kitchen spaces. In the final stages of the course, participants make final adjustments and refinements to their kitchen design projects in SketchUp, aiming for a cohesive and comprehensive design. During the presentation session, students showcase their completed kitchen projects, elucidating their layout choices, material and appliance selections, and design innovations. A constructive feedback session follows, highlighting the successful integration of functionality and style in the kitchen designs. Through these activities, participants refine their design skills, learn effective presentation techniques, and receive valuable input to further enhance their projects, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of kitchen design principles and practices.
There are no such trainings in Romania, which is why I chose the Home Design Institute in Paris. I must tell you that I was very pleasantly surprised by the training. The lecturer answered all the questions in a wonderful way. The distance form of training is conducted extremely conveniently and effectively. I am very pleased and recommend this training to anyone who speaks English.
At first I believed that designing kitchens was the work of architects. This training opened my eyes and showed me that anyone can be a great designer!
