The first provides an overview of kitchen design fundamentals, followed by an exploration of common kitchen layouts including U-shaped, L-shaped, galley, and island designs, highlighting their respective benefits. Participants engage in initial sketching exercises to conceptualize various kitchen layouts while considering workflow and the work triangle concept. A recap on kitchen layouts follows, focusing on cabinetry and appliances, with an emphasis on their selection and placement to enhance functionality and aesthetics. Students then learn to utilize SketchUp for designing a kitchen layout, incorporating cabinetry and appliances into their designs. Through these comprehensive exercises, participants gain practical skills and insights into optimizing kitchen spaces for both efficiency and visual appeal.

The course begins by emphasizing the importance of material selection in kitchen design, followed by an overview of durable and aesthetically pleasing materials suitable for cabinetry, flooring, and backsplashes. Participants are tasked with creating a mood board featuring materials and finishes for a kitchen design project, fostering their ability to curate cohesive and visually appealing spaces. A recap on materials is provided, along with an introduction to countertops, where different types of countertop materials and their respective pros and cons are discussed, alongside innovative storage solutions. The course progresses to incorporating countertops and smart storage features into the SketchUp kitchen model, allowing students to integrate practical elements seamlessly into their designs. Participants learn to add lighting to the SketchUp model to enhance functionality and set the mood. A recap on lighting is provided, with a focus on accessorizing, where students delve into the selection of accessories, fixtures, and decor to complete the kitchen design. The course culminates in incorporating accessories into the SketchUp model, finalizing the overall design and allowing participants to appreciate the transformative impact of lighting and accessories on the ambiance and functionality of kitchen spaces. In the final stages of the course, participants make final adjustments and refinements to their kitchen design projects in SketchUp, aiming for a cohesive and comprehensive design. They engage in discussions on presentation strategies and storytelling specific to kitchen design projects. During the presentation session, students showcase their completed kitchen projects, elucidating their layout choices, material and appliance selections, and design innovations. A constructive feedback session follows, highlighting the successful integration of functionality and style in the kitchen designs. Through these activities, participants refine their design skills, learn effective presentation techniques, and receive valuable input to further enhance their projects, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of kitchen design principles and practices.

The Kitchen Interior Design course is with duration of 3 months. Classes are 24 study hours per month (3 study hours two times a week). One study hour is 45 min. The whole course consists of 72 study hours.

If you want to enrol in our course, you need to register in order to create an account at our website. Then log in to your account and go to the course page. Click the button "Enrol now" and follow the steps. Once you have registered, our representative will contact you to confirm your order and send you a completed training contract, which you must sign and send back by email.

All students must have completed secondary education. Fluent English and basic computer skills are must.

During the training, theoretical knowledge is introduced with the help of interactive methods and presentations, such as role-playing games, videos and reports, interactive presentations. The practical part of the training is studied by the method of "learning by doing", and each student should perform a number of practical tasks for the exercise of theoretical training. At the end of the training, each student realizes a complete project, covering everything learned during the course.

The assessment of students is carried out through knowledge control questionnaires (QCM), tests, reports and practical tasks. At the end of the course students sit online test and practical exam. The test consists of multiple correct/wrong answers. You must have a minimum of 50% correct answers in order to pass the test. Additionally, you must successfully defend your individual project as well. All students that pass both the exams successfully will receive a certificate from Home Design Institute.

The final deadline in which you can join the course and sign your training contract is 15 days before the beginning of the course.

At the beginning of each training, the lecturer gets acquainted with each student and specifies with him the purpose of training and his knowledge in the field. The lecturer is obliged to adapt the learning process to each individual case, according to the level of knowledge of each student, and at the end of the training each student creates an individual project according to his needs and desired direction for professional development.
