The aim of the Park Design course is to provide you with knowledge and skills related to critical architectural elements, structures, and buildings erected in open urban areas and, especially, in park environments and recreation areas.
This course will introduce you to the history of architecture of open spaces. You will learn about park elements in design and get acquainted with various architectural constructions and elements. You will also get familiar with park construction specificities, including terracing, park facilities for sloped terrain, alley networks, flooring types, water supply, sewerage, and lighting. You will learn about the different types of irrigation systems, lawns, and their maintenance. You will get acquainted with vertical roof landscaping, which is extremely popular nowadays.
In order to make a complete park project, you need to know how to prepare the terrain for landscaping, cultivate the soil, terrace the landscape, and plant vegetation. You will learn all of this in our course.
You will get acquainted with the history of architecture and architectural components in open spaces. You will learn the different kinds of park composition facilities.
The second module of the training course will introduce you to the specificities of park construction. You will learn some basic concepts and definitions and know the different types of park facilities for terracing. You will find out what an alley network is and look into the different kinds of park floorings, water supply, sewerage, and lighting solutions. At the end of this module, you will be introduced to the world of landscaping and its specificities, starting with preparatory work for landscaping, and will learn how to cultivate the soil, terrace it and plant vegetation; you will get to know the different types of irrigation systems and lawns; you will understand how to care for the different types of ornamental plants; finally, you will discover the secrets of vertical and roof landscaping.
The last module of our training program is dedicated to making rock and flower corners in the garden. You will learn different open space compositions and their peculiarities. After that, you will get to know various plant species used in these compositions. At the end of the course, you will be asked to present a project.
